Largemouth Bass: The king of the lakes, these bucket-mouths can grow up to 10 pounds in our waters. They love to hang around structure, so we'll be targeting submerged timber, rocky points, and weed edges. Spring and fall are prime times, but we catch 'em year-round. There's nothing like the explosive strike of a big largemouth!
Crappie: Don't let their size fool you – these panfish are a blast to catch and even better to eat. We find them schooling around brush piles and submerged trees. Spring is the jackpot season when they move shallow to spawn, but we can locate them in deeper water the rest of the year. Light tackle and a sensitive touch are key here.
Walleye: These elusive predators are prized for their tasty fillets. We typically target them in deeper water using bottom bouncer rigs or by trolling crankbaits. Dawn and dusk are magic hours for walleye. They've got a soft bite, so stay alert – you might just land a trophy fish!
Rainbow Trout: The acrobats of the fish world, rainbows are known for their spectacular jumps and runs. Lake Taneycomo is a cold-water haven for these beauties. We'll drift small jigs or flies, or maybe even try some power bait if that's what they're hitting. The action can be fast and furious, especially when we hit a good hatch.
Brown Trout: The smart, selective feeders of the trout family. Browns in Taneycomo can grow to monster sizes. We'll often target them with streamers or by drifting live bait. These fish require stealth and patience, but when you hook into a big brown, it's a fight you won't forget!
Alright, folks, let's wrap this up. Our half-day trip is perfect for both newbies and seasoned anglers looking to explore Branson's top-notch fishing. You'll get expert guidance, quality gear, and a shot at some of the best fishing Missouri has to offer. Whether you're after a cooler full of crappie, a trophy bass photo, or just a relaxing day on the water, we've got you covered. Don't let another season slip by – grab your buddy and book your trip now. The fish are waiting, and trust me, you don't want to miss out on this action!

Brown trout are the cunning giants of our streams, often growing larger than their rainbow cousins. Expect fish in the 14-20 inch range, with trophy specimens pushing 10 pounds or more. You'll find browns tucked into undercut banks, deep pools, and beneath logjams. They're most active at dawn and dusk, especially on cloudy days. Browns are known for their wariness and hard fights, often making powerful runs when hooked. Anglers prize them for the challenge they present and their striking golden-brown coloration. Fly fishing with streamers or nymphs is effective, as is spinning with small lures that imitate minnows. Here's a local tip: focus on the darkest, deepest holes during bright midday hours - that's where the big browns will be hiding. Patient anglers who can make accurate casts to tight spots will have the most success with these wily trout.

These tasty panfish are a blast to catch, usually running 8-12 inches and weighing up to a pound. You'll find crappie hanging around brush piles, fallen trees, and other structure in 10-20 feet of water. Spring is prime time as they move shallow to spawn, but fall can be excellent too. Crappie tend to school up, so when you catch one, there's likely more nearby. Light tackle and small jigs or minnows under a bobber are go-to methods. Crappie put up a nice fight for their size and are arguably the best-eating fish in our lakes. For a hot tip, try fishing at night with lights - crappie are attracted to the glow and will stack up under your boat. Whether you're after a mess for the frying pan or just want steady action, crappie fishing is hard to beat.

These big-mouthed bruisers are the kings of our local lakes, typically running 2-5 pounds but capable of topping 10. You'll find them prowling near structure like docks, fallen trees, and weed edges. Early morning and evening are prime times, especially in summer when they retreat to deeper, cooler water during the day. Largemouth put up a great fight, often leaping clear out of the water when hooked. Their size and aggressive strikes make them a favorite target. For best results, try working a plastic worm slowly along the bottom near cover. When you feel that telltale "tap," set the hook hard - these guys have tough mouths. Whether you're after a trophy or just want consistent action, largemouth bass deliver an exciting fishing experience every time.

Rainbow trout are a favorite in our cold, clear streams, typically 12-16 inches but capable of reaching 5+ pounds. You'll find them in riffles, pools, and around submerged logs or boulders. Spring and fall offer the best fishing as water temperatures are ideal. Rainbows are known for their acrobatic fights, often leaping multiple times when hooked. Fly fishing with nymphs or dry flies is popular, but spinners and small lures work well too. These fish are prized for their beautiful colors and excellent table fare. For a pro tip, try fishing the seams where fast and slow water meet - rainbows love to hold in these spots to ambush prey. Whether you're a fly fishing purist or just want to tangle with a hard-fighting fish, rainbow trout offer an exciting challenge in a beautiful setting.

Walleye are prized for both their fight and their flavor, typically running 15-25 inches and 2-5 pounds in our lakes. These golden-eyed predators prefer cooler, deeper water and are often found near drop-offs, points, and rocky structure. Dawn and dusk are prime feeding times, with night fishing also productive. Walleye have a reputation for being finicky, but when they're on, the action can be fast. Trolling with crankbaits or bottom-bouncing with nightcrawlers are effective techniques. The "walleye chop" - a light wind creating small waves - is ideal conditions. Anglers love walleye for their hard strikes and delicious white, flaky meat. Here's a local secret: try jigging a minnow-tipped jig vertically in deep holes during midday for some of the biggest fish. Walleye fishing requires some patience, but the rewards are well worth it.
